• Annelies in Verbier

  On a recent trip to Verbier we took the chance to visit a relatively new addition to our portfolio, luxury ski chalet Annelies. Completed last summer, this property has a master double bedroom, two further double bedrooms, and a fantastic bunk bedroom sleeping 4, all en-suite,  which makes it perfect for 6 adults and 4 children.

  The property is well located on the Rue du Golf, giving panoramic views over the resort and easy access to all that Verbier has to offer. Your dedicated driver will be waiting in the garage with a warm vehicle, and from there it is just a one minute drive to the children's nursery slope at Les Esserts  and  3 or 4 minutes to the new 6 man covered chairlift at Carrefour, which allows you to skip the queues (and the stairs!) at Medran. The Savoleyres bubble lift is also a 2 minute walk from the chalet.

  The interior has been fitted using antique woods and natural stone matched with the highest quality fixtures and fittings. The result is an immaculate property with every modern comfort which has the character of a traditional family ski chalet.

  The high quality of the property is matched by the service which includes an experienced chef and chalet host, dedicated driver, 2 days of private ski instruction, and 3 hours of massage. Children's suppers, drinks and canapés, three course dinners and quality house wines are included on six nights.

• The Elves

  Les Lutins or 'The Elves' is a super little luxury ski chalet in Verbier. Perfectly formed, it sits in an elevated position in the curiously named 'Swedish quarter'. I didn't manage to spot any Swedes whilst visiting, but I was certainly impressed. Though it doesn't necessarily boast vast amounts of space, Les Lutins definitely feels luxurious - the double height aspect to the living room is very inviting to say the least and with a second living area you are spoilt for 'chill out' space - perfect for two families where a bit of adult / child separation is required. Bedrooms are cosy and comfortable and you are spoilt further with a sunken hot tub downstairs. If you're looking for a bit of fur-lined, traditional alpine indulgence, then this should definitely be on your must visit list - great chalet, great service, great find.

• La Peau de Vache

  We love to discover new places and trends, especially when it comes to food! We have heard some great reports from guests this season about Le Peau de Vache in Val d'Isere - a great piste side restaurant for a fine mountain lunch to compliment your luxury ski holiday in Val d'Isere.

• Best of Courchevel 1850

  Having been lucky enough to spend last week in Courchevel 1850 it is clear to see why the 3 Vallees ski area in France attracts people year after year. With impeccably groomed corduroy pistes, fresh powder snow, efficient ski lifts, amazing mountain restaurants and even some bright spring sunshine it's hard to find a reason not to love it! The question is which luxury 5-star hotel to stay in after you return from a great day on the slopes? Well here are a couple of my favourites.

  The Hotel Le Strato, a luxury ski hotel in Courchevel 1850, is perfectly situated off the tree lined Cospillot piste. As you ski to the door of the stylish, well equipped ski room you know you are in for a fantastic stay. Owned by the Rossignol family of the world renowned ski brand, this hotel has a modern and chic interior. The Suites are beautifully designed with stunning views across the mountains and every facility you could want is at your fingertips. The 2 Michelin starred Restaurant Le Strato is truly outstanding. Try the Lobster with black truffle - you seriously won't be disappointed!

  If you want to be right in the heart of town then you really can't get much better a location than the Hotel Saint Roch. One thing you will instantly notice is that nothing is too much trouble for the welcoming staff at this lovely hotel. In the mornings there is never a need to carry your skis the short distance to the slopes, as you will find your skis sat perfectly in the snow ready for you to step into. The suites at the Hotel Saint Roch are spacious and extremely comfortable and the hotel's indoor pool is one of the most beautifully decorated you will see.
