    Skiathon 2013

The Oxford Ski Company are proud to be supporting Disability Snowsports UK for the third year in a row. A team of six from our office made up of keen skiers are taking on the challenge of the Skiathon! On the 11th June 2013, our team will have to ski 666 runs in 6 hours at the Milton Keynes Sno!Zone dressed as Heroes! Our Heroes of choice will be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles thanks to the creative thinking from our sixth member, Jon West from Altitude Ski School in Verbier, who we are very lucky to have on our team!

We would love to raise as much money as possible for the brilliant and totally worth while cause, so please dig deep and help us raise a staggering donation to this help this excellent charity.

    'Slow Horse' by Elasticospa

Piancavallo is a small ski-resort town located high in the Dolomites of Northeast Italy. The 'Slow Horse' Hotel injects a sobering architectural gem contrasting an array of lavish structures. The building itself plays with the accumulation or dispersion of snow, incorporating ice stalactites into the winter aesthetic. Designed by Italian practice Elasticospa.

  • Louis Vuitton opens in Gstaad

    Louis Vuitton opens in Gstaad

As you may know, the term "après ski" is French for "after skiing". In the traditional sense "après" involves a few [too many] drinks at the base of the slopes after a long day on the mountain with optional dancing  on tables (mandatory at the Mooserwirt in St.Anton). However, for many, the new "après" involves browsing in the many boutiques with names you would expect in London, Paris and New York.

The newest bouqitue opening this season is Louis Vuitton in Gstaad, located in a Swiss Chalet dating back to 1913 with a cosy lounge and open fireplace.
