Located in the middle of the Three Valleys, Meribel is certainly a great destination from which to explore this extensive ski area. It is also perfectly placed in terms of being able to pick and choose the best of the areas restaurants. See below for some of our favourite Meribel restaurants, however, don’t forget to look up our recommendations in Courchevel as well!
• Le Cœur de Cristal – A unique, trendy and modern restaurant located on the Rhodos slope in the heart of the mountain. Offers a wide-ranging and varied menu served by personable, friendly staff. There are two dining rooms to choose from as well as a sun terrace with stunning views of the ski area.
• Le Plantin- Situated just outside Meribel Village on the road to la Tania, Le Plantin has been rebuilt in a traditional mountain style. This restaurant has an interesting and contemporary menu offering alternatives to the usual Savoyard style food. Presided over by head chef, Marc Dach, this is a very smart and formal restaurant.
• La Fromagerie- Situated below a cheese shop, this is a traditional restaurant, located in a cellar and serving fondue and raclette. Arguably the best fondue in Meribel, not only are there a whole host of cheese dishes to choose from, but these dishes are accompanied by plates of charcuterie. You certainly won’t be anything less than full when you leave!
