    I was put in a dodgy, multi-coloured 'onesie' at the age of six and sent down a mountain, mostly with my eyes closed. Back then, I could never have imagined loving spending a season in the mountains and talking about skiing day in, day out!

    Having started skiing at the tender age of 10, I was very aware that if I fell, it would hurt. But my self-competitive streak prevailed and today you’ll find me traversing the pistes, chasing the sun and those sun soaked restaurant terraces. Or in some weird yet wonderful, off-the-beaten track European City.

    Favourite Resorts: In the Winter, Verbier & Megeve. In the Summer, Zermatt & Dolomites.

    Ski Seasons: 0. Instead, I participated in the Mongolia Charity Rally. 3 months, 13 countries, 9000 miles, 1 amazing journey.

    Favourite Properties:  San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge, Dolomites & Heinz Julen Loft, Zermatt.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: Zum See in Zermatt. I’m still dreaming of the squid carpaccio. For après, Le Farinet in Verbier. Or Hug’s bar in San Cassiano in the Dolomites. Two very different experiences. 

    My Tip: Don’t just go to the mountains in winter. Make them your year round destination! Summer in the Alps is arguably their most picturesque time of year to travel. Second only to a deserted island; that takes some beating.

    I planned my first ski season over 2 years in advance so I knew I was destined to end up in the ski industry, and here I am! It's a pleasure to have a role that incorporates my passion and knowledge of the sport.

    Favourite Properties: Chalet Foinbois in Meribel Village and Le Chardon in Val d'Isère.

    Favourite Lunch & Après:  : Le Panoramic - Great views from the top of La Masse (Courchevel) and for après it has to be the Le Rond Point in Meribel for live music and toffee vodka - skiing down afterwards is also very amusing!!

    My Tip:   Ask your chef or host to pack some nibbles and a bottle of bubbles in a bag, find a secluded spot on the mountain and tuck in!

    My skiing life started when I lived in America at the age of 4. I have memories of freezing temperatures, icy slopes and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Luckily things have improved hugely since and now a perfect day for me is fresh, endless powder and a cosy mountain restaurant. I am now Oxford based after running my own luxury chalet company in St Anton for 6 years and am excited about settling into family life in the UK and still being able to talk about skiing and chalets all day!

    Favourite Resorts: St Anton, Zermatt and Val d'Isère.

    Ski Seasons: 10 in St Anton, 1 in Zermatt.

    Favourite Properties: Maria Schnee in St Anton and Ferme de Moudon in Les Gets.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: 
    Hotel Post in the pretty village of Stuben for a gorgeous lunch with a stunning valley view. St Anton has a great choice of Après ski, but my favourite is the rustic Underground on the Piste for its live music and atmosphere.

    My Tip: Try to get out on the mountain even if it's a blizzard. Fresh air is always a winner, you may well have the best day of your life in the powder and the gluwein at the bottom will taste SO much better.

    My love for skiing and the mountains came from my first ski season on my gap year. Since then I jump at any opportunity to get out on the slopes and having a job that allows me to talk about incredible ski holidays all day couldn’t be more ideal!  

    I am a skier but occasionally attempt snowboarding 

    Favourite Resorts: Whistler, Courchevel/La Tania and Val D’Isere/Tignes  

    Ski Seasons: 1 winter in La Tania and 1 summer in Whistler, Canada. All my winter university holidays chalet hosting in St Gervais.

    Favourite Properties: Chalet Ambre and Chalet Opal in Tignes.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: 360 Bar in Val Thoren, Chambre Neuf in Chamonix and Ski Lodge in La Tania for après. Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar and Grill, Whistler for lunch with a perfect views of skiers in winter and downhill bike park in the summer.

    My Tip: Always get first lifts and always go for après- you will regret not doing it!  If your in Whistler get a ‘Fresh Tracks’ pass which enables you up the mountain before it opens- you get a delicious breakfast with stunning views of the sun rising over the mountains.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: Chetzeron in Crans-Montana has the best local food and panoramic views (make sure you have room for pudding). Martinis in Le Farinet, Verbier certainly keep the ski legs going a little longer.

    My Tip You can never stop learning and this is particularly true when it comes to skiing. Always budget for a ski instructor or guide, you will get so much more out of your holiday.

    There is more to a Winter holiday than just skiing. After a morning on the slopes, I can think of nothing better than a well deserved, long lunch with a vin chaud inside a cosy mountain restaurant or a glass of wine on the terrace in Spring!

    Ski Seasons: 2 in Courchevel 1850 and 1 in La Plagne.

    Favourite Properties: Lapin Blanc in Meribel, Gentianes in Courchevel 1850 and Baby Bear in Chamonix.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: A long lunch at Le Cap in Courchevel is a must and après-ski at Le Rond-Point in Meribel. 

    My Tip: Buy a good 'shell' jacket as you can layer up for all conditions whether it's heavy snow and sub-zero in January or spring snow and bright sunshine in April.

    My Tip: When in Aspen or Lake Louise take advantage of the mountain hosts for free ski guiding, fantastic friendly volunteers who provide some great facts and history on the mountains as well as taking you to the best slopes for the conditions that day!

    As someone who has to start planning their next holiday as soon as they return from the last one, and as someone passionate about exploring new places (preferably in luxury and style!), running OS Private Travel (our summery sister company) is my dream job.  The importance of an amazing holiday should never be underestimated!

    Favourite Lunch & Apres:  Cervo in Zermatt - after extensive research I can say it's the best Gluhwein in town and you must try the Cervo fries! Lunch at Club 55, St Tropez for the sheer spectacle.

    My Tip:  Alpine resorts can be just as special in summer and are the perfect solution for a luxury family holiday. You can do as much or as little as you like...hike or bike to a picnic in a summer meadow, enjoy a round of golf or try a specialist yoga or nutrition break.

    For me there is simply nothing better than a ski holiday. Spending a week in the mountains with lots of snow, sunshine and skiing is amazing. Having a job where I get to think about skiing all day is a pleasure.

    My Tip: If you have children take an afternoon or an evening to go tobogganing. Or even if you don't have children, still go tobogganing...fun for all ages!

    I enjoyed ski holidays in Italy, Austria, France and Canada as a child, with my father - a passionate skier - desperately and repeatedly trying to inject the spirit of adventure into his wife and two daughters. As an adult, though, the overall experience of the ski holiday has tempted me back, and I look forward to many years of gentle bunny-hopping down the green slopes ahead!

    Favourite properties: Hotel Le Crans (Crans-Montana); Chalet Mistral (Val d’Isere); Torre de Tramores (Benahavis).

    Favourite Lunch & Après: A mouth-watering steak at the Hotel Cervo, Zermatt, and a magnum (or two!) of rose at La Folie Douce, Val d’Isere: the stuff of Alpine legend!

    My Tip: Skiing with young children doesn’t have to be one big compromise! There are great specialist ski tuition and childcare options available now for those of us who want to enjoy family time AND adult social time on our ski holiday.

    Favourite Lunch & Après: Signal in Val d'Isère for lunch and the infamous après at La Folie Douce, Val d'Isère (and now also in Val Thorens and Méribel).

    My Tip: Invest in your own pair of ski boots, even if you only ski 6 days a year...go that extra step and get a custom fit pair from SureFoot.

    My Tip In Aspen make use of the ski storage and transfer service; drop your skis at the base of the mountain after skiing and have them transferred to another mountain of your choice overnight! This means no walking through town with skis on your shoulder. You can go straight off to experience the glitz and glamour that downtown Aspen has to offer!

    Favourite Lunch & Après: The Moosewirt in St. Anton for great Après & The Cervo Hotel Restaurant in Zermatt would be a favourite - great atmosphere, gorgeous décor.. and Cervo Fries!!

    My Tip: Why not give those ski legs a rest and take a day off? Experience what else is on offer and other attractions available to you. From paragliding to ice climbing, or trying your hand at a traditional winter sport.

    Having spent a lot of my school holidays in the Algarve and Madeira with my Portuguese Grandfather hotelier, I like to think travel and hospitality is in my blood.     My Tip: Get to St Barths! This incredible island screams glamour, luxury and is ‘tres chic’, but is also naturally beautiful with all the charm you would expect of a Caribbean island. With gorgeous villas and stunning resorts on the island there is something for everyone.

    My Tip: I've seen how daunting and stressful the run up to the holiday can be. So, I would also recommend making the most of the concierge service - start as you mean to go on; stress-free!

    My Tip Avoid the morning queues at Medran in Verbier by asking your driver to drop you at Carrefour and use the new 6 man chair to get up to Ruinettes.

    Skiing, snow, hiking and being in the mountains are my passions, so having a job that enables me to do that some of the time, and talk about it the rest of the time...means things can't get much better!

    I am a skier through and through, although I would give boarding a bit more of a go if I had more balance!

    Favourite Resorts: St. Anton, Val d'Isere  and Chamonix in the Summer. St. Anton has my heart though!

    Ski Seasons: 1 in Courchevel 1850 and 2 in St. Anton.

    Favourite Lunch & Après:  Rodel Alm in St. Anton do amazing half chickens with a semmel (Austrian bread roll)! Krazy Kangaroo is amazing for après and dancing on tables followed by a slightly sketchy ski down!!

    My Tip: Get the first lift, no matter where you are. Head to Hospiz Alm in St Christoph, and use the slide down to the bathrooms - it makes sense! Finally, have a day out with Piste to Powder in St Anton, you will not be disappointed!

    I consider myself a snowboarder but can ski also.

    Favourite Resorts: Chamonix, Whistler and Val d'Isère.

    Ski Seasons:  3 in Whistler, 4 in Chamonix and lets not forget 3 at Mt Hotham, Australia!

    Favourite Properties: Des Drus in Chamonix, La Tene in Val d'Isère and Chalet Grace in Zermatt.

    Favourite Lunch & Après:  Merlin's at the bottom of Blackcombe for the delicious Nachos! Chambre Neuf for après-ski in Chamonix and La Folie Douce in Val d'Isère for the atmosphere, views and music.

    My Tip:  When in Whistler eat at Sushi Village and order a frozen strawberry sake. The must do run is Peak to Creek for the great off-piste trees.

    I have lived and worked in a variety of different destinations across the world and I have had some amazing personal and professional highlights which include everything from swimming with Whale Sharks in the Philippines to planning bijou weddings in Greece.     Favourite Properties: Villa Dream, Barbados and Desroches Island, Seychelles.

    My Tip:  Everyone flocks to Oia in Santorini to watch the famous sunsets. This means in the summer months you really have to fight to get the best spot. I recommend that you head to Imerovigli instead. From here along with the sunset you also you have breath taking views of the Caldera and, best of all, no crowds!

    Having lived and worked abroad on a couple of occasions I am captured by the travel bug and take great pride in placing someone in their perfect hotel or villa in a destination suited to them. I joined the team from a hospitality background so customer service and going that extra mile at any given opportunity is something I’m extremely passionate about.

    Favourite Destination: The Maldives for sun, sea and the ultimate heaven on earth. Singapore, in my opinion, is the best city break destination.

    Favourite Properties: Fullarton Bay Hotel, Singapore, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, St Peters Bay, Barbados and Palazzo Avino, Amalfi Coast.

    My Tip:  When visiting South East Asia or Australasia, be sure to stop off for a 2 night stay in Singapore and experience the cleanest and most beautiful city in the world, the perfect destination for a whistle stop tour either side of a longer, more relaxing break.
