• Meet the Team

We are not just another travel website. We are a small team, passionate about the mountains and luxury travel. Take some time to get to know us...

    Harriet Tetlow

    Travel Consultant, Chalets

I was put in a dodgy, multi-coloured 'onesie' at the age of six and sent down a mountain, mostly with my eyes closed. Back then, I could never have imagined loving spending a season in the mountains and talking about skiing day in, day out!

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Megève, Verbier and Val d'Isère.

Ski Seasons: 1 in Val d'Isère.

Favourite Properties: Hidden Dragon in Les 4 Vallees, Marco Polo in Val d'Isère and Chalet Trois Ours in Méribel.

Favourite Lunch & Après: Chez Dany in Verbier for a delicious lunch and La Folie Douce in Val d'Isère for the best après ever!

My Tip Take a look at The Luxury Chalet Collection - the definitive  selection of the top 20 most luxurious chalets in the world for this season - prepare to be dazzled!

    George Webb

    Travel Consultant, Chalets

As a relative late-comer to skiing at the age of 19, I found the mountains to be a steep learning curve. Early attempts to keep up with friends were described as 'lacking in style, but quite exciting'. Spending five months in Verbier in 2011/12 with the best snow for several years seems to have helped.

I am a skier and snowboarder

Favourite Resorts: Verbier and Val d'Isère.

    Ski Seasons: 1 in Verbier.

Favourite Properties No.14 in Verbier and Le Rocher in Val d'Isere

Favourite Lunch & Après: Grill your own steak on hot stones at Le Carrefour in Verbier, then watch the sun go down from the terrace at Le Rouge.

My Tip: Paragliding only takes an hour out of your ski time and is sure to be one of the highlights of the week. Go for it.

    Laura Willing

    PR & Marketing Manager

I have lived and travelled all over the place - from Zermatt to Zanzibar, St Anton to St Tropez. Travel and exploring are what I love best and when it comes to holidays, skiing is hard to beat. Since I started here in 2006, I've been lucky enough to stay in some amazing places as part of my job. As we keep telling you; simply look no further!

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Portes du Soleil, Val d'Isère and Banff.

    Ski Seasons: 1 in Crans-Montana.

Favourite Properties: Fermes de Montagne, Les Gets and Chalet Montana, Val d'Isère.

Favourite Lunch & Après:  Verbier and Mayrhofen are hard to beat for their après scene. The Folie Douce in Val d'Isère is legendary at the end of the season too. My best lunch so far was in Klosters - delicious gnocchi!

My Tip When you return from skiing, try our sister company OS Private Travel for a similarly fantastic summer holiday (sorry, I am in charge of PR after all)!

I love luxury travel, who doesn't? I'm looking forward to my first skiing holiday in 20 years this year! Naturally, this will be expertly planned by the chalet team here.

    I am a (lapsed) skier.

Favourite Resort: Zermatt - go at the end of the season to make the most of the spring sunshine.

Favourite Properties: Chalet Les Anges, Zermatt

My Tip: Don't wait 20 years before booking your next ski holiday! Life's too short!

    Saffron

    Border Terrier

My role is simply to assist with positive staff morale, although, to be fair, I spend the vast majority of my day sleeping.

    I am a dog.

    Owner: Mark Gibbins

    Favourite spot: My office bed

Favourite time of day: Lunch time

Party Trick: I don't have many, but am good at walking backwards.

  • Rupert Longsdon

    Founding Director

If you snooze you lose, the mountains make sure of this.

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Crans-Montana and Val d'Isère.

Ski Seasons: 1 in Val d'Isère, over 10 years in Crans-Montana & Méribel.

Favourite Properties: Chalet Grace in Zermatt and Chalet Bear in Klosters.

Favourite Lunch & Après: Chetzeron in Crans-Montana has the best local food and panoramic views (make sure you have room for pudding). Martinis in Le Farinet, Verbier certainly keep the ski legs going a little longer.

My Tip You can never stop learning and this is particularly true when it comes to skiing. Always budget for a ski instructor or guide, you will get so much more out of your holiday.

    Franki Hutchins

    Travel Consultant, Chalets

There is more to a Winter holiday than just skiing. After a morning on the slopes, I can think of nothing better than a well deserved, long lunch with a vin chaud inside a cosy mountain restaurant or a glass of wine on the terrace in Spring!

    I am a skier and a boarder

Favourite Resorts: Morzine, Courchevel and Zermatt.

Ski Seasons: 2 in Courchevel 1850 and 1 in La Plagne.

Favourite Properties: Lapin Blanc in Meribel, Gentianes in Courchevel 1850 and Baby Bear in Chamonix.

Favourite Lunch & Après: A long lunch at Le Cap in Courchevel is a must and après-ski at Le Rond-Point in Meribel.

My Tip: Buy a good 'shell' jacket as you can layer up for all conditions whether it's heavy snow and sub-zero in January or spring snow and bright sunshine in April.

    Karen Cabena

Travel Consultant, Hotels & North America

With a passion for travel, sport and adventure I have been lucky enough to experience the amazing skiing that can be found in Canada & North America as well as Europe. Working here gives me the perfect opportunity to help you experience the same!

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Breckenridge, Colorado, Banff/Lake Louise in Canada and the Portes du Soleil region in France.

Ski Seasons: 1 in Breckenridge and 1 in Banff/Lake Louise.

Favourite Properties: Fairmont Chateau in Lake Louise and Hotel Nira Alpina in St. Moritz.

Favourite Lunch & Après:  Mi Casa Mexican in Breckenridge, perfect for après margaritas and delicious nachos.

My Tip: When in Aspen or Lake Louise take advantage of the mountain hosts for free ski guiding, fantastic friendly volunteers who provide some great facts and history on the mountains as well as taking you to the best slopes for the conditions that day!

    Diana Cherry

Head of Travel, OS Private Travel

As someone who has to start planning their next holiday as soon as they return from the last one, and as someone passionate about exploring new places (preferably in luxury and style!), running OS Private Travel (our summery sister company) is my dream job.  The importance of an amazing holiday should never be underestimated!

I am a skier (and villa expert!)

Favourite Resorts: Verbier and Zermatt in Winter. Marrakech and the Cote d'Azur in summer.

    Ski Seasons: 1 in Zermatt

Favourite Properties: Chalet Grace in Zermatt, C-View in Cap Ferrat, Villa Uno in Ibiza

Favourite Lunch & Apres:  Cervo in Zermatt - after extensive research I can say it's the best Gluhwein in town and you must try the Cervo fries! Lunch at Club 55, St Tropez for the sheer spectacle.

My Tip:  Alpine resorts can be just as special in summer and are the perfect solution for a luxury family holiday. You can do as much or as little as you like...hike or bike to a picnic in a summer meadow, enjoy a round of golf or try a specialist yoga or nutrition break.

    Will

    Labrador

My most important office duties include chasing Saffron first thing in the morning, sleeping on my back so I am in the way of everyone, and pulling my puppy dog eyes when I want to go for a walk!

    I am a dog.

    Owner: Sarah Kitching.

    Favourite spot: My office bed.

Favourite time of day: Any time of day I get food.

Party Trick: I am particularly good at chasing my own tail.

  • Mark Gibbins

    Director of Operations

I have always believed that skiing is a means of transportation to and from lunch...I am the person you need to speak to about finding the perfect terrace spot for a fine Alpine lunch!

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Crans-Montana, Val d'Isère and Whistler.

Ski Seasons: 6 in Crans Montana, 2 in Meribel.

Favourite Properties: Ferme de Moudon in Les Gets and the Residences at The Four Seasons Whistler.

Favourite Lunch & Après: Signal in Val d'Isère for lunch and the infamous après at La Folie Douce, Val d'Isère (and now also in Val Thorens and Méribel).

My Tip: Invest in your own pair of ski boots, even if you only ski 6 days a year...go that extra step and get a custom fit pair from SureFoot.

    Ellie Knowles

Travel Consultant, Hotels & North America

I love how invigorated and excited a snowy mountain vista can make you feel. I have been lucky enough to visit and stay in many of the properties we feature. Experiencing all these luxuries makes finding the perfect hotel for you no trouble.

    I am a skier.

Favourite Resorts: Aspen, Colorado, Zermatt, Banff/Lake Louise, Canada.

Ski Seasons: 1 in Banff and Panorama, Canada.

Favourite Properties: Sky Hotel in Aspen, Hotel Matthiol in Zermatt and the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek

Favourite Lunch & Après:  The Buffalo Bar in the Ritz-Carlton, Beaver Creek for all-American chicken wings, nachos and beer. Après in the Sky Hotel, Aspen for cocktails, hot tubs and zebra print robes!

My Tip In Aspen make use of the ski storage and transfer service; drop your skis at the base of the mountain after skiing and have them transferred to another mountain of your choice overnight! This means no walking through town with skis on your shoulder. You can go straight off to experience the glitz and glamour that downtown Aspen has to offer!

    Grace Scott

    Concierge

I was first plonked on skis at the age of three and was sent down the mountain after my older brother and sister. Since then I have developed a great love of skiing and being in the mountains. I think ski holidays are better than any other holiday and I love helping people plan their trips and making them as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

I am a skier although I have snowboarded in the past.

Favourite Resorts: Verbier, La Plagne, Val d'Isere & Whistler

Ski Seasons: 1 in Verbier and 1 in Les Carroz.

Favourite Properties: Gentianes in Courchevel 1850 and Bella Coola in Verbier

Favourite Lunch & Après: Le Rouge, Verbier for a long lunch and then staying there for the après too.

My Tip: In Verbier, go for dinner up the mountain at Chez Dany. Enjoy a traditional Swiss fondue, a couple of bottles of local wine and then toboggan back down the pistes.

    Laura Porter

Private Travel Consultant, OS Private Travel

Having spent a lot of my school holidays in the Algarve and Madeira with my Portuguese Grandfather hotelier, I like to think I have travel and hospitality is in my blood. As someone who likes to spend 50% of a holiday lying horizontally in a beautiful sundrenched location, and the other 50% soaking up the culture, OS Private Travel really is a job I am passionate about.

    I am a villa expert.

    Favourite Resort:

Any Greek Island, Tagomago Island in Ibiza (for the sheer chic of it!) and of course, The Algarve.

Favourite Properties: La Fraissinede, Languedoc, and Riad Farnatchi, Marrakesh

My Tip: The Algarve isn't just about golf and pottery, this popular holiday destination has some of the safest and gorgeous beaches in Europe. My personal favourite being Praia da Marinha, this beach is not only recognised for its beautiful cliffs and golden sand, but also for the high quality of the water.

    Martha

    Working Cocker

I come to the office on Tuesdays and am quite a good distraction! My favourite friend is Will (although he teases me and steals my toys). Saffron doesn't like me very much....yet.

    I am a dog.

    Owner: Laura Willing

Favourite spot: Chewing wires under the table.

Favourite time of day: First thing in the morning, running round the office at high speed.

Party Trick: I am the queen of 'puppy dog eyes.'

  • Neil Kitchen

    Sales Manager

After two ski seasons in Verbier, I felt it was time to get a 'proper job' in the ski industry. I love talking about amazing properties every day and count myself very lucky to have visited and experienced some of the best chalets in the Alps.

I am a skier but can also snowboard.

Favourite Resorts: Zermatt, Verbier and Les 4 Vallees.

    Ski Seasons: 2 in Verbier.

Favourite Properties:  Chalet Norte in Verbier, Chalet Le Blanchot in Courchevel 1850 and Tivoli Lodge, Davos.

Favourite Lunch & Après: Chez Vrony in Zermatt for a fine lunch and the aptly named Après-Ski Bar in Verbier.

My Tip Avoid the morning queues at Medran in Verbier by asking your driver to drop you at Carrefour and use the new 6 man chair to get up to Ruinettes.

    Sarah Kitching

    Travel Consultant, Chalets

Skiing, snow, hiking and being in the mountains are my passions, so having a job that enables me to do that some of the time, and talk about it the rest of the time...means things can't get much better!

I am a skier through and through, although I would give boarding a bit more of a go if I had more balance!

Favourite Resorts: St. Anton, Val d'Isere  and Chamonix in the Summer. St. Anton has my heart though!

Ski Seasons: 1 in Courchevel 1850 and 2 in St. Anton.

Favourite Properties: Maria Schnee in St Anton, La Tene in Val d'Isere and Nyumba in Verbier.

Favourite Lunch & Après:  Rodel Alm in St. Anton do amazing half chickens with a semmel (Austrian bread roll)! Krazy Kangaroo is amazing for après and dancing on tables followed by a slightly sketchy ski down!!

My Tip: Get the first lift, no matter where you are. Head to Hospiz Alm in St Christoph, and use the slide down to the bathrooms - it makes sense! Finally, have a day out with Piste to Powder in St Anton, you will not be disappointed!

    Kylie Hardy

    Senior Travel Consultant, Chalets

With a love for snowsports and a passion for interior design this job is perfect, as I get to talk about stunning chalets and skiing all day long.

I consider myself a snowboarder but can ski also.

Favourite Resorts: Chamonix, Whistler and Val d'Isère.

Ski Seasons:  3 in Whistler, 4 in Chamonix and lets not forget 3 at Mt Hotham, Australia!

Favourite Properties: Des Drus in Chamonix, La Tene in Val d'Isère and Chalet Grace in Zermatt.

Favourite Lunch & Après:  Merlin's at the bottom of Blackcombe for the delicious Nachos! Chambre Neuf for après-ski in Chamonix and La Folie Douce in Val d'Isère for the atmosphere, views and music.

My Tip:  When in Whistler eat at Sushi Village and order a frozen strawberry sake. The must do run is Peak to Creek for the great off-piste trees.

    Laura Lee

My Tip: We work with some fantastic childcare providers which really help take the stress out of holidays with little ones.

    Inde

    Rhodesian Ridgeback

I'm a Rhodesian Ridgeback so I love the sun and warmth, but when the snow falls there is nothing better than chasing down a snowball.

    I am a dog.

    Owner: Kylie Hardy

Favourite spot: My duvet in the Aviemore office.

Favourite time of day: Walk time!

My Tip: My must have item is an 'Ice-Barker' 100% New Zealand merino wool doggy jacket inspired by a thermally fragile Rhodesian Ridgeback in Wanaka, New Zealand.
