More about France
The French Alps are home to many superb ski resorts, the first of which were established in the early 20th century. Today, some 100 years later, it remains one of the premier winter sports regions in the world, popular with ski enthusiasts from all over the world. We have made it our mission to build a portfolio that includes the very best luxury ski chalets in France, so you can find the perfect accommodation for your Alpine holiday no matter where you decide to go in the region.
Whether you are planning a romantic winter break for two, a family holiday during which you intend to introduce your children to skiing or a group vacation with the emphasis firmly on après-ski fun, there is somewhere in the French Alps that has everything you require. From glamorous resorts boasting Michelin-starred restaurants and top night spots - frequented by the rich and famous of Europe - to more family-oriented villages that offer a warm Gallic welcome and are popular with those who have young children to entertain, the French Alps really do have something for everyone.
The Rhone-Alpes Region
Most of the best luxury ski resorts in France are collected around the Tarentaise Valley, in the Rhone-Alpes Region. In the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie can be found such illustrious names as Chamonix, Méribel and Val d’Isère. Les Trois Vallées, one of the largest contiguous ski areas in the world, is situated in the Tarentaise Valley and is home to the ‘super resorts’ of Courchevel. Of the four separate towns that make up this group, Courchevel 1850 is the undisputed king. We have a fantastic selection of peerless accommodation available in all these resorts, along with many others which, whilst perhaps not quite so well known, are all highly regarded among winter sports aficionados.
What You Can Expect
We have many ski in, ski out properties in our portfolio of French Alps chalets, which are perfect for those who want to get in as much skiing time as possible whilst on their holiday. Luxurious chalets with heated pools, Jacuzzis and gyms abound in our collection and if you would like accommodation that comes with your own private chef and chauffeur, we can arrange that for you as well. Some of our clients enjoy putting together their own itineraries whereas others like us to make all the arrangements on their behalf; whichever group you belong to, you can rest assured that the Oxford Ski Company will accommodate your needs perfectly.
If you already have a good idea of where you would like to go, please browse our selection of high quality accommodation and get in touch once you have made your choice. If you need any further information, such as the location of the best resorts for novice skiers or the name of the ski regions that are home to the most challenging black runs in the French Alps, please do not hesitate to call and ask: we are here to serve you.
