The charming resort of Méribel owes its existence to a British founder named Peter Lindsay whose visionary ideas brought about its conception in the late 1930s. The village is still an extremely fashionable choice for British skiers today and far from putting you off, this heritage has ensured it has retained plenty of Alpine charm. Its location in the heart of the Three Valleys adds further to its enduring popularity and it's certainly one of our top choices for family skiing. Sometimes seen as the home of catered chalet holidays, the choice of accommodation is plentiful and vast so we only work with the best. As far as skiing goes, it has great links to Courchevel as well as other important resorts in the ski area, including Val Thorens, St. Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and La Tania. Locally there is plenty to keep all grades of skier happy, including two parks and lots of off-piste. Several pistes weave down through the village which when lit up at night can be quite spectacular. There is plenty of live music during après-ski, a large variety of restaurants and plenty of off-slope activities making Méribel an exciting destination for all ages.
