Situated just an hour from Geneva, Morzine is a popular, bustling Alpine town with a prominent standing within the vast Portes du Soleil ski area - one of the largest ski areas in the world.  Its terrain parks are some of the best in the Alps and it boasts lots of pretty tree-lined runs. The infamous 'Swiss wall', a challenging mogul run bridging the border between France and Switzerland, is not for the faint hearted but there is limitless intermediate and beginner skiing too! When you've finished in the ski area for the day, the central old town of Morzine is very attractive and includes many traditional French stone buildings, a riverside promenade and plenty of great bars and restaurants making it reputedly more vibrant than many smaller resorts. There are plenty of excellent catered chalets available - perfect for a family break or a holiday with a group of friends.
