The destination

One of the most loved and raved about ski resorts in all of the Alps, Verbier offers something for everyone and understandably attracts skiers the world over to its sun-drenched slopes set in a superbly breathtaking high altitude setting of 1,500 metres.

An attractive Swiss town that’s deservedly earned a prestigious reputation as one of the best ‘off-piste’ ski resorts in the world, Verbier offers a lively après ski culture, distinguished dining, formidable ski runs, and so much more, including an excellent array of luxurious chalets and hotels that The Oxford Ski Company can arrange for you.

Boasting an ideal location facing the impressively majestic Grand Combin massif, one of the highest peaks in the Alps at 4,314 metres, the town truly is a spectacular sight to behold. Expect glorious sunny winter days with blue skies and breathtakingly beautiful alpine scenery that many suitably awed visitors feel are second to none.

Although the clientele is affluent and stylish, the resort isn’t as exclusive as some of the glitzier ski resorts in the Swiss Alps, like ultra-exclusive St Moritz. Still, you can expect to see a well-heeled clientele making their way around the attractive town, dining at the many classy cafés and restaurants the town boasts, and shopping at the chic designer stores and exclusive boutiques that line its pedestrianised central promenade.

Skiing elevation ranges from 1,500 metres, the altitude of the resort, up to 3,330 metres. With over 400km of skiing that spans the world-famous Four Valleys region, Verbier is perfectly suited to the intermediate skier. More advanced skiers will find a number of formidable black runs to test themselves on, while first-timers will love the Savoleyres area. There are also a number of outstanding ski schools in Verbier.
