Description
As one of the highest resorts in the Alps, Val d’Isère owes its ‘must-ski status’ to its incredible snow record as well as its easy and extensive access to off-piste terrain. Val d’Isère sits at an altitude of 1850 and is a firm favourite with expert skiers who gravitate to the resort to ski the infamous Olympic downhill run, La Face. Nevertheless, there is plenty of varied and exciting terrain to please the most timid of skiers and the more adventurous intermediates alike.
The attractive resort centre has more than its fair share of stylish boutiques, smart bars and gourmet restaurants. You can also find a vast array of good quality ski schools, catering for children, adults and those wanting to improve their off-piste technique.
For French village charm coupled with a fast, extensive and easy lift network, Val d’Isère is very hard to beat. |
