Description
For many, Verbier's reputation as a favourite haunt of professional skiers is well deserved. Lift-accessible off-piste is the resort's unique selling point to which free-riders flock each year. Terrain parks and expert on-piste opportunities can be found in abundance. Beginners and intermediates should not be deterred as Verbier provides as wide a variety of ski as any super resort.
Asides from its excellent off-piste opportunities, what distinguishes Verbier from other resorts is its animated après-ski. Whether you are looking for an English style pub to catch the latest sports' results or an elegant terrace to have a pre-dinner aperitif, you are sure to find it in Verbier. The same variety extends throughout the resort's many bistros, cafés and restaurants. Although Verbier offers very few ski-in, ski-out properties, it does offer some of the most sumptuous and comfortable accommodation anywhere. Many of the up-market chalets and hotels run their own shuttle services so you waste no time getting to and from the slopes.
