If someone were to ask you what you enjoy most about your wintery trips to the mountains (other than the skiing), what would your answer be? Well a lot of us here at The Oxford Ski Company would say, without hesitation, that delicious mountain cuisine plays a very effective role in the lure of the mountains!
If you are like us and love those mountain chefs almost as much as the snow itself, we suggest you branch out with both your taste buds and your skiing this year by taking a trip to the beautiful and sunny villiage of San Cassiano. This hidden gem of a resort can be found in the region of Alta Badia in Italy, nestled within the mighty mountain range of the Dolomites. Not only is the skiing superb and totally different to the Alps but there is an exciting new initiative to be taken advantage of called 'A Taste of Skiing.'
This venture includes fantastic opportunities for foodies throughout the season, incuding 12 mountain refuges which will offer a unique dish each created by gourmet and Michelin starred chefs. Or if you travel out between January 20th - 27th 2013, you can experience The Chef's Cup Week with around 100 invited chefs cooking incredible Michelin starred food for even more incredible prices. And for those early birds out there you must not miss the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking breakfast on top of the mountain on Tuesdays and Thursdays from December to April.
In fact, you won't even have to leave your hotel for Michelin starred dishes if you stay at the Chateaux Rosa Alpina Hotel which holds 2 stars for its St Hubertus Restaurant (coming soon to our website and available to book now.) If we have successfully tempted your taste buds please call our office on +44 1993 899 422 to book a ski holiday with a delicious twist!
