HAKUBA, TOKYO & KYOTO
Our private tailor-made journeys offer complete freedom of choice. This is a suggested itinerary only, shown to give you a flavour of what's possible!
Oxford Ski can include ski hire, backcountry tours, cultural excursions and activities ... we're brimming with suggestions. At the very least, we can simply package together your accommodation, transfers and lift passes. And because we are ATOL bonded in the UK, we can also include your international flights.
Day One: Depart from the UK (or elsewhere), flying directly to Tokyo.
Day Two: Arrive in either Narita or Haneda airport, where you are met and then take a private transfer to your hotel in central Tokyo.
Day Three: A full day at leisure to explore Tokyo.
Day Four: Catch the shinkansen (bullet-train) from Tokyo to Nagano City, where you are again met at the station and taken on an excursion to visit the snow monkeys. After a couple of hours in Jigokudani Park, head on to Hakuba, your ski resort in the Japanese Alps.

Day Eleven: From Hakuba you take the local train to Matsumoto, where you can break the journey to visit its world-famous castle. Then continue on to Kyoto, changing on to the shinkansen (bullet-train) for the final leg. Private transfer from the station to your ryokan in central Kyoto – a traditional Japanese Inn.
Days Twelve & Thirteen: Two full days to explore everything Kyoto has to offer.
Day Sixteen: Private transfer to the airport and fly back to the UK (or elsewhere), arriving home the same day.
Hakuba – We can organise local transport, backcountry ski guides, equipment rental, lift passes, ski lessons, child care, catering, spa treatments and activities such as snowmobile safaris.
Tokyo & Kyoto – We can arrange for your own private guides to show you the sights and / or include experiences such as sushi-making lessons, private dinner with geisha or cycling tours.

Price guide – Prices from £4,288 per person, based on two people travelling together. This cost would include international flights from the UK in economy class, ski carriage on the flights, luxury accommodation in Tokyo, Hakuba and Kyoto, private transfers, shinkansen (bullet-train) tickets, snow monkey excursion and lift pass in Hakuba. This would be for a trip in March, which is a good time to travel whilst still considered low season.
Prices are dependant on your individual itinerary. Please call us on +44 1993 899 420 or click here for more contact details, we'll introduce you to our Japan Specialist who can help you plan your trip.
