Although Courchevel 1850 has the reputation of being glitzy and expensive, it is important to remember it is also a wonderful resort for families. One of the best hotels in one of the best ski in locations, has to be the luxury ski Hotel Le Chabichou.
From the minute you walk (or ski) into the Hotel Le Chabichou, you instantly feel at home. After a busy day on the slopes, head for the hotel's cosy wooden chalet style bar. The atmosphere is great with live music, superb cocktails and wonderful friendly staff. For the kids there are even yummy pancakes on offer to keep them going until dinner. The hotel spa is one of the best I have seen and you could literally spend hours enjoying the indoor pool and thermal facilities on offer. If you are feeling brave there is even an ice bucket and ice cold plunge pool!! I have been assured it is great for the circulation, although I have to admit during my stay I gave it a miss! For dinner you have the choice of either the hotels renowned Michelin 2 starred Restaurant with its exceptional gastronomic cuisine, or for a more relaxed menu the food at the Le Chabotte Bistrot is delicious!
