At The Oxford Ski Company we constantly strive to know everything we can about all the carefully selected properties in our portfolio. To this end, nearly all of the team have been out in the Alps this month inspecting our properties inside and out.
Between busy visits to Verbier and Zermatt recently, three of us took a detour up to the often overlooked resort of Veysonnaz to visit the fabulous Hidden Dragon. This beautiful chalet has featured as one of our top 'ski in- ski out' properties, top hot tub locations and top 'off the beaten track' chalets so I thought it was about time we told you what all the fuss is about!
While Hidden Dragon is a beautiful chalet in a location to die for, there is more to this property than first meets the eye. We started our visit with a glass of wine as we were reminded by the staff of the property's history and ethos. Designed and built to incorporate Shinto traditions and feng shui principles, the chalet has been created to provide the ultimate location for escaping the stress of everyday life and pursuing happiness. One look at the guest book reveals a remarkable collection of heartfelt thanks and tearful goodbyes - guests really to have a hard time leaving this remarkable environment.
The Hidden Dragon team are commited to providing exceptional service. Their passion for quality food, wine and hospitality is clearly evident and every age of child can have endless fun here.
Although tucked away in a gloriously secluded location, Hidden Dragon offers 'ski in-ski out' access to the vast Les 4 Vallees ski area and good skiers can reach Verbier in under an hour and a half. Guests also have the opportunity to ski with Alex Coudray, vice world champion freerider and resident member of the Hidden Dragon team.
