North American resorts have really come into their own in the luxury market over the past several years, and we have added three new ski areas to our website in response to this. Why not add a North American ski trip to your calendar?
Located in Wyoming, in the vast American West, Jackson Hole is most famed for being the original advanced skier’s mecca, boasting iconic big mountain skiing with steep terrain and deep powder. Nowadays, though, the resort has evolved to attract skiers of all levels with some lovely intermediate areas to enjoy. With the increase in visitors to the resort comes international interest, investment, and of course, some exquisite new properties.
The Amangani - part of the exclusive Aman Resorts group - is an incredible 40-suite property offering spectacular views towards wide open meadows and on to the surrounding Teton mountain ranges. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a 20 minute complimentary drive away.
Snake River Lodge & Spa is ideally situated at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and next door to the Jackson Hole Mountain Aerial Tram - an awe-inspiring 4,000ft vertical trip to the top of Jackson Hole Mountain. Its convenient location makes this property the ideal choice for those looking to make the most of their time on the slopes.
Choose from 149 traditional hotel guest rooms and suites, or one of the lodge residences. There are two, three and four bedroom residences with full kitchens, dining area and lounge.
Coming Soon: Four Seasons Jackson Hole
Snowmass is the biggest mountain of Aspen’s ‘Power of Four’, but very much its own resort. Developed in recent years, you will now find a plenitude of accommodation, restaurants and a superb children’s activity/day-care centre. Snowmass’ expansive ski area is suitable for all levels with gentle perfectly groomed trails, glades, steeps and terrain parks. This really does make Snowmass an attractive, good all-round base ideal for families and mixed ability groups alike. Plus, located just 20 minutes from the glitz and glamour of Aspen itself.
The Westin Snowmass Resort offers ideal ski in, ski out access to Snowmass Mountain and is located in the centre of Snowmass Village. The Westin features 254 guest rooms and suites, with a wide range of facilities and a variety of shopping, dining and nightlife options just steps away in the Snowmass Mall.
The Viceroy Snowmass boasts 173 luxurious accommodation options, ranging from studio to four bedroom residences, all of which include roaring fireplaces, deep soaking bath tubs, mountain views and the latest in style and technology. After a day on the mountain, you can restore your energy with the choice of two creative dining options, Eight K or Eagles Nest, offering fine dining in relaxing surroundings.
Park City is a buzzing ski town full of character and charm thanks to its history as a Silver mining town. It very much has the sense of being a year round working town rather than purpose-built, making it great for visitors with so much to do: plenty of dining options, bars, entertainment, shopping and of course one its biggest attractions – skiing that dry Utah powder. Park City Mountain Resort is the main ski mountain connected to Park City town, however you also have either side of this mountain a further two wholly separate ski resorts, Deer Valley and Canyons, and as an international visitor you can purchase just one lift pass which will cover you for all three.
An intimate boutique luxury hotel, The Sky Lodge features just 33 suites ensuring a truly personal service. Guests can expect spacious and well-appointed accommodation, unforgettable service and inspired cuisine. A beautifully appointed spa and choice of restaurant or lounge simply add the finishing touches to make this hotel the ideal destination.
Waldorf Astoria Park City - At the base of Canyons Mountain you will find 175 guest rooms and private residences offering timeless and casual luxury with a sophisticated atmosphere. The hotel has been developed to respect its beautiful surroundings, offering lovely valley views and on towards the Wasatch Mountains. All hotel guests have access to the outdoor heated pool and hot tub, the Asian-influenced Waldorf Astoria Spa, Powder restaurant, and the hotel’s private ski gondola.
Built as a school in 1889, Washington School House has been recently to an impeccable luxury standard. In the heart of historic Park City, and featuring 12 spectacular rooms and suites, a heated pool terrace cut into the hillside, fine artwork and a carefully curated collection of antiques, this is a property to suit the discerning traveller.
