Skiing
The Purcell Mountains offer immense variety in terrain, with plentiful ski runs both above and below tree line ideally suited to first-time and experienced heli skiers alike. The Bugaboos has 1,016 sq km of skiable terrain and an average annual snowfall of 12 metres.
The Property
The newly renovated lodge, built to optimise the striking views of surrounding granite spires and spilling glaciers, has a capacity of 44 skiers although non-skiers can also be accommodated. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and configured as double, twin or single rooms. The individual bedrooms are simple with no telephones or TVs but all have en-suite bathrooms with small baths and showers as well as hairdryers in each room. Typical evenings are spent enjoying the rooftop hot tub, or drinking in the views from the recently renovated horseshoe bar – dubbed the best après on earth!

Other features of the lodge include a stretch room for the morning stretch class, small gym (with free weights, spin bikes and a rowing machine) and a games room with a pool table and table football. There is a spa facility with a steam room and sauna, as well as the rooftop hot tub.

The lodge is located in the Purcell mountains of British Columbia Canada and is only accessible by helicopter. Guests are transported first by bus from Calgary to the staging site near Golden, a helicopter then takes them for a 15-minute flight into the lodge.
