We’re a teensy bit biased at Oxford Ski… we think ALL our chalets are pretty amazing in lots of different ways! It’s hard for us to single any out as we’ve gone to great efforts to only feature the best for our clients. So, instead of us selecting Chalets for particular mention we thought ‘over to you’ and have listed the eight chalets that received glowing testimonials from discerning clients over the 2016/17 season. Chalet Davos, Val d’Isère, France

“Having the resort drivers worked extremely well and proved to be very useful. They were able to take us wherever we wished at any given time with very little notice. We also found all staff to be very attentive and pleasant.”

Chalet Davos is part of the Chalets Suisses, a small private hamlet on the secluded, sun drenched knoll of Le Crêt, one of the earliest and most charismatic enclaves of Val d’Isère. Enjoy traditional alpine décor fused with cutting edge design allowing you relax in absolute comfort when not out on the slopes. The chalet has been dressed with antique furniture, the finest fabrics, amazingly comfortable squashy sofas. Head out onto the terrace to enjoy the sunken hot tub with spectacular views.

What we love – For those too weary to walk, take advantage of the shared driver service to whisk you to and from the village and pistes throughout the day.

Cervo Mountain Boutique Resort, Zermatt, Switzerland

A recent addition to Zermatt’s exclusive list of smart hotels, this boutique hotel features 8 chalets, its own lounge and restaurant as well as direct access to the slopes. The hotel sits just above the centre of Zermatt, opposite the Sunnegga lift. The hotel's elevated position provides direct views of the Matterhorn from the rather lovely sun terrace. All rooms feature their own balcony or terrace whilst each suite has its own private fireplace.

What we love – You are never far from the slopes with amazing access to the Sunnega ski lift!

Hotel Le Kaila, Meribel, France

What we love – It has to be the private elevator! What a great way to arrive at the slopes and much more comfortable than walking up in your ski boots!

Chalet Sophia, Verbier, Switzerland

A stunning penthouse apartment located in one of Verbier’s most enviable locations. Breath-taking views combined with easy access to both the town centre and Medran lift make this a fantastic chalet for your holiday. Haus Jessica, Saas Fee, Switzerland

"The staff at Haus Jessica, Mathilde and Tom, were as much a highlight of our stay as the beautiful chalet. They were truly excellent at their craft, incredibly warm, very open but never intrusive. They are a super team and tried to delight wherever they could. For example, bringing Tiger balm to soothe an injury, and baking a Nutella birthday cake (without being asked to) after they learned the 47 year old birthday boy loved Nutella as a child. Truly wonderful."
