This new 2km long gondola is going to connect the infamous and sort after resorts of Lech-Zürs to Warth-Schröcken in Austria, making the Am Arlberg ski area 340km of terrain. This enormous ski area will incorporate some of the Alps finest resorts, St Anton, St Christoph and Stuben
Work began this spring and this lift is due to open for the start of winter 2013/14. The Gondola, named Auenfeldjet, will be able to upload 1,490 skiers and boarders per hour and is costing €12 million to build. For any skier, extreme or leisurely, this new lift is going to open up a whole other part to the fabulous ski area, and you will be able to access it all via your Ski Arlberg lift pass.
