Skiing in Japan

Our private tailor-made journeys offer complete freedom of choice. This is a suggested itinerary only, shown to give you a flavour of what's possible!

Oxford Ski can include ski hire, backcountry tours, cultural excursions and activities ... we're brimming with suggestions. At the very least, we can simply package together your accommodation, transfers and lift passes. And because we are ATOL bonded in the UK, we can also include your international flights.

Day One: Depart from the UK (or elsewhere), flying to Tokyo.

Day Two: Arrive in Tokyo and transfer on to a domestic flight up to Hokkaido Island. You are met at Sapporo Chitose airport and taken by private transfer to Niseko. Settle in to your accommodation in Hirafu Village.

Days Three to Six: Four days skiing in the Niseko region. Full day excursions can be organised to nearby ski resorts; Rusutsu, Moiwa and Kiroro.

Day Ten: Catch the train from Kyoto to Kanazawa, and then transfer to a shinkansen (bullet-train) to continue on the final leg of the journey. Private transfer from Iiyama station to Nozawa Onsen, deep in the Japanese Alps. Check in to your ryokan – a traditional Japanese Inn.

Price guide – Prices from £4,750 per person, based on two people travelling together. This cost would include international from the UK and Japanese domestic flights in economy class, ski carriage on the flights, luxury accommodation throughout, private transfers, shinkansen (bullet-train) tickets, snow monkey excursion and lift pass in both Niseko and Nozawa Onsen. This would be for travel during March, which is a good time to travel whilst still considered low season.

Prices are dependant on your individual itinerary. Please call us on +44 1993 899 420 or click here for more contact details, we'll introduce you to our Japan Specialist who can help you plan your trip.
