It’s a well-known fact that ski holidays are a fantastic way of truly getting away from it all. The combination of being far removed from offices, desks and inboxes, inhaling fresh mountain air, and flying down the slopes, can really help you recharge your batteries. But in order to truly embrace it all, you need to be able to relax mentally and trust you are in good hands.
With a number of high profile clients, we understand the importance of discretion and finding the right people to look after you. With reliable drivers, private jet charters, fully staffed ski chalets, skiing bodyguards & reliable nannies, we can arrange for the right people to take care of everything while you take a break. And yes, you did read ‘skiing bodyguards’ correctly! More on that below.
Comfortable and reliable in-resort driving services and airport transfers.
When it comes to exclusive properties in the mountains, you are spoilt for choice! You can find some of the most luxurious properties imaginable in the very heart of popular resorts, typically Alpine and rustic on the outside and incredibly luxurious on the inside – No.14, La Bergerie & Marco Polo are a few glamorous examples. Or you can take advantage of your own mountain hideaway with exclusive views and complete privacy, for which Hidden Dragon & Ferme de Moudon are more appropriate.
Hidden Dragon: Secluded, luxury ski accommodation in Veysonnaz.
Depending on the property you choose, your chauffeur will take you to and from the slopes each morning to save you wading through the morning crowds in town. And then we come to the main event… the skiing. Along with après ski, this is when you simply want to focus on enjoying yourself, and that’s where Close Protection ski bodyguards such as Michael Mason & *Gemma come in.
As MD of UMBRA International (who provide specialist Bodyguards globally) Kate Bright, says ‘We have seen a rise in demand for skilled Operatives to accompany families whilst on their skiing holidays. Bodyguards offer a discrete and blendable solution to modern security on skis, particularly where clients have their own bodyguards who can’t ski’.

Michael first accompanied a family on holiday in Crans Montana many years ago and Gemma has been skiing with clients since 2013. It’s not heavy-duty, muscle-flexing clichés (although Michael does have a martial arts background). As Gemma & Michael will explain, their job is to spot any trouble before it happens and to know exactly what to do in an emergency. That means knowing the pistes, avalanche risks, where the nearest police station, hospital or helipad is, and in some cases… what wildlife to look out for. Although that last point was more critical for Gemma’s work in Svalbard where polar bears are a threat. But to keep your mind at ease, they are worth every penny, and their reassuring presence can make every difference to your holiday.
