A unique experience for friends or family with this ski-in/ski-out catered apartment. With excellent service and access to an indoor pool and spa facilities you will not be disappointed!
The top two floors of Chalet Shalimar make up the spacious luxury apartment Alex. Sleeping 12 people in six double bedrooms, this apartment is perfect for large groups of friends or families. You enter the apartment on the first floor which is the main sleeping floor. On this floor there are six twin bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. The two master bedrooms have uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn.
A lift takes you up to the living area and dining area which is wonderfully spacious and bright. This luxury apartment feels more like a free standing chalet than an apartment as it has double height ceilings, and large sliding doors which open out from the living area onto the large balcony. The views of the imposing Matterhorn are spectacular and provide the perfect backdrop for a pre-dinner glass of champagne. The main living area has sumptuous sofas which surround the large stone fireplace. After a hard day on the slopes guests can enjoy afternoon tea in peace and quiet whilst the children are kept entertained in the apartment’s entertainment room.
On the lower ground floor of Chalet Shalimar is the shared spa area. There is a fabulous indoor pool, sauna, hammam and massage room which is shared with the four bedroom apartment, Elena which is situated on the ground floor.
Alex is nestled in the enclave of Winklematten perfectly positioned for keen skiers as you can ski to and from the property. The hustle and bustle of the centre of Zermatt is a 15 minute scenic walk away or a short ride in an electric taxi.
When taken on a fully catered basis, the apartment is staffed with a professional chef and host as well as a dedicated concierge. When taken on a self-catered basis there is a daily housekeeping service as well as a concierge who will be on hand to assist with any finer details throughout the week.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service and food were excellent. We Loved it.
