What we love

A beautiful typically Swiss chalet set in the back streets of Zermatt. We think that Chalet Heidi is the most traditional place to stay in Zermatt with its rustic style and decor. We couldn′t think of anything better than cosying up next to the wood burner after a long day skiing.

The Property

Comprising the entire first floor (128 m2) of a traditional, creaky, wooden, Swiss chalet, this is a delightful luxury chalet apartment: a real Zermatt gem sleeping up to 6 people. A great deal of attention has gone into enhancing its old alpine atmosphere while providing every modern convenience and a sense of cosy luxury. You will be cosseted by weathered wood panelling and local granite walls, an antique stone fire-stove, wooden ceiling beams, a unique dining table consisting of a traditional harrow under a glass top, a generously sized new and fully specified connecting kitchen, and much more.

There are three bedrooms and three very modern bathrooms. Bedroom 1 (the largest) has a standard double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. Bedroom 2 can be configured either as a double or as two singles. Its bathroom is next door, with shower and toilet. Bedroom 3 is the smallest, with a 160cm double bed, but it has the advantage of having the largest en-suite bathroom with corner-bath, rainfall shower and toilet.

The chalet was incredibly comfortable with 3 excellent bedrooms 2 with en suite bathrooms; it′s centrally located so one can walk anywhere in the village and to the bottom of the bubble up the mountain; and it is beautiful inside.
