The town of Banff (made famous by its natural hot springs), is perfectly located in
the awe inspiring Banff National Park and provides easy access to the 3 ski areas
of Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Norquay, making it a popular base for exploring
these fantastic ski areas. Set in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains these
ski areas benefit from cold dry conditions providing some of the best powder snow
you can find! Lake Louise is located around a 40min drive west of Banff. As it name
suggests this small hamlet is situated on the stunning turquoise waters of Lake
Louise. Here you will find the most extensive ski area, catering for all levels of skier
with perfectly groomed green runs through the trees, or for the more adventurous, the
challenging double black diamond Back Bowls and Chutes. Sunshine Village is mid
way between Banff and Lake Louise. Funnily enough there is no actual "village" here
and access to the ski area is by taking the high speed gondola which then gives you
access to 3 mountains and 3,300 acres of superb skiable terrain. Norquay is the 

smallest of the 3 ski areas and is only 5mins from the town of Banff. Although there 

are some beginner slopes, the majority of the ski area is fast and steep.
