The destination

Livigno is a charming town in northern Italy's Lombardy region, near the Swiss border. Situated in the province of Sondrio, it lies within the scenic Livigno Valley, surrounded by breath taking alpine landscapes. Originally a remote farming village, it was granted duty-free status in 1805, boosting its economy. Improved road access in the 20th century helped it evolve into a major ski resort, outdoor sports hub and more significantly, a host destination of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Livigno offers a variety of attractions that cater to outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking relaxation. Renowned for its skiing and snowboarding, the resort boasts over 115 kilometres of slopes, making it a top winter destination. In the summer, visitors can enjoy the stunning Lago di Livigno, perfect for leisurely walks, cycling, or simply soaking in the alpine views.

Nearby, the Stelvio National Park offers hikers an opportunity to explore beautiful landscapes and spot wildlife like ibex and marmots. After a day of adventure, visitors can unwind at the town’s wellness centres and spas. Additionally, the Galleria di Livigno offers a chance to delve into the town’s art and culture, making the area a well-rounded destination for both relaxation and exploration.
