The destination

By far one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the Swiss Alps, and indeed all of Europe, the glitzy and unashamedly opulent Swiss town of St Moritz is a remarkable sight to behold. Located in the upper region of the striking Engadine Valley at an altitude of 1,770 metres, it’s where many of world’s richest and most famous individuals spend their ski breaks.

With its renowned ‘champagne climate’ that ushers in an incomparable number of gorgeously dry, sunny days, spectacularly striking mountain views looking up at the imposing Piz Bernina, which at 4,050 metres is the highest summit in the Eastern Alps, and famed as much for its elegant boutiques, designer stores, and upscale restaurants as it is its slopes, St Moritz can aptly be described as the ‘place to be’ in winter.

Originally rising to prominence as a relaxation resort due to its therapeutic springs, St Moritz has, over the years, become the most exclusive of all the European ski resorts, as is testified to by the number of five star hotels, and more than a few ultra-luxurious private chalets, the town is home to.

There are still many impressive spa resorts to be found throughout the town of St Moritz where its well-heeled clientele are pampered to incomparable levels of luxuriousness, along with a fantastic selection of après ski bars, including top pick King’s at Badrutt’s Palace, classy cafés, and an impressive number of Michelin starred restaurants offering the ultimate in upmarket dining.

Our Luxury Ski Chalets and Hotels in St Moritz

Members of the Oxford Ski Company travel to glamorous St Moritz annually to personally inspect the luxury St Moritz chalets and hotels we have selected for our customers to make a selection from, research any notable new developments that have taken place, and source new lodgings that we believe rise above the rest in terms of lavishness and uniqueness, and therefore offer our guests something exclusively special.

The five star hotels that we have selected impartially and objectively with emphasis placed on exclusiveness, elegance and outstanding quality of service, are also nothing shy of amazing. Badrutt’s Palace Hotel (which first opened its doors in 1896 and is considered by many to epitomise traditional Swiss elegance), is one of our favourite hotels in glitzy St Moritz.

A celebration of all things elegant and glamorous, it’s a landmark in the town’s centre and offers stunning view of the surrounding landscape. Our dedicated team can arrange accommodation, transfers and anything else you desire to this hotel, the favoured hideout of celebrities and royalty alike, and any other St Moritz hotels or chalets that catch your eye.
