Tignes
Tignes is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps, offering glacier skiing all year round and access to the famous Espace Killy ski area in the winter. Linked to the same ski area as Val d’Isère, the resort offers exceptional skiing for confident skiers, and the luxury chalets and hotels we work with offer easy access to the slopes.

The destination
Tignes, located in the Tarentaise Valley in the Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France, is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in France due to its high altitude.
At 2,100 metres above sea level, it boasts wonderfully picturesque and snow-covered mountains. Together with the nearby resort of Val d’Isère, the two popular resorts form the ‘Tignes-Val d’Isère’ ski area.
Tignes is not one single village, but five villages – Val Claret, Tignes le Lac, Le Lavachet, Tignes Les Boisses, and Tignes-les-Brévières. The first three are at an altitude of 2,100 metres, while the latter two are located further down the valley. There are some superb après-ski bars to be found in Tignes, including Oxford Ski Company’s choice, La Folie Douce in Val-d’Isère, an exhilarating party venue, as well as several superb mountain restaurants.
