With a skiing elevation range from 1,500 metres to 3,330 metres, Verbier is snowsure with deep, well-preserved powder, well-groomed pistes, and a number of snow guns and cannons to cover the pistes.
Verbier slopes are perfect for beginners and families, and with the whole Four Valley region accessible from the resort, intermediates can ski their hearts out over 400km of the available and varied terrain.

Verbier Lift Pass Cost
In Verbier, there are two main types of 6-day lift passes you may purchase:
The 4 Vallées ski pass with access to all four neighbouring valleys and is available for purchase for around £360.
The Verbier valley ski pass provides access to the local areas and 200km of pistes, perfect for beginners and available for around £315.
Verbier Skiing for Beginners:
Verbier is the perfect skiing location for beginners with fantastic beginner slopes to explore.
The three main nursery areas are Les Esserts, Le Rouge, Les Moulins, and once you’re ready for the mountain, you can head over to the warmer, south-facing bowl of La Chaux where you can ski in the sunshine until the late afternoon.
Make sure to brave the journey up to the top of Mont Fort before you leave. Take the cable car up and enjoy the unforgettable view.
Intermediate Skiing in Verbier
Verbier is the perfect location for adventurous skiers who are looking to gradually improve their skills.
The Savoleyres area is simply fantastic for intermediates. Expect an excellent selection of red and blue runs, especially those that run alongside the smaller resort of La Tzoumaz.
If you are looking to improve your skills, head to the Tortin at a height of 2050m. Here, you will find quieter slopes and some fantastic red runs. T
he Bruson area is also perfect for intermediates with fewer crowds and lovely powdery snow or Mont Gelé which is popular with intermediates.
Snowpark Skiing
From beginners trying out new tricks to intermediates brushing up on their skills, the snow park at La Chaux is the perfect place for skiers of all levels to have a good time at a 2,260m elevation.
Expect all the rails, jumps and corners required for fantastic freestyle fun.
Advanced Skiing in Verbier
Advanced skiers have their pick of challenges in Verbier, be it the Chassoure-Tortin ‘wall’, the Col de Chassoure, or the stunning Mont Gelé 3,023m summit with a vertical drop to push even the most expert skiers.
Verbier also offers one of the world’s best off-piste opportunities, with amazing powder in Tortin, Mont Gelé, and Chassoure as well as many ungroomed former black pistes.
Verbier for Families
Verbier takes excellent care of families of all sizes and ages, with children under eight skiing free and substantial cost reductions in lift passes for those between eight and 14 years old.
Families can enjoy themselves on the nursery slopes and beginner areas such as Les Moulins. This is the perfect area for younger families as there is a kids’ club here for small children. The Les Esserts run is also a great place to start for families with younger children or older skiers to enjoy the amazing views of the mountain landscape.
The Best Après Ski in Verbier
Verbier is known to have some of the best après ski in the Swiss Alps, coming to life in the evening with hotel bars, live music, and cosy pubs.
The après ski in Verbier truly has something for everyone, be it soaking in the sun with a beer on a high-altitude deck or finding a sophisticated and relaxed bar to wind down in after a day of skiing.
We would recommend checking out the run of après bars located off the Médran lift and down to the Place Centrale. Here, these après bars are open from the afternoon till late in the evening. Some other après ski highlights are:
The Farinet hotel bar
This hotel bar is the perfect place to be after a long day of skiing.
Live bands perform here every night of the season, so get there early for happy hour between four and five.
Pub Mont-Fort
Just behind the Médran lift station, the Pub Mont-Font is a wonderful spot to end a day skiing.
A lively atmosphere serving tasty pub food and a selection of après drinks. There is also often live music or DJs into the early hours.
The Farm Club
The Farm Club is a well-established nightclub in Verbier and is well known for its elegant and quirky ambience. This is the perfect spot to end the night, and you can expect drinking and dancing until four in the morning.

A restaurant with panoramic views at altitude, in the heart of the Alps in the Swiss Valais.
Accessible by ski, sledge, foot, bus or car! Après-ski at Le Rouge has been likened to Ibiza in the snow, with resident DJs and internationally renowned guest artists.
