The destination
The powder snow mecca of the world, Niseko is Japan’s most famous winter wonderland. Located on the northernmost island of Hokkaido, just over an hour’s flight from Tokyo, this was once a sleepy rural backwater with volcanic slopes surrounded by rice paddies and farms however has now been transformed into Asia’s best ski resort with a sophisticated range of luxury accommodation choices, fantastic après ski scene and most importantly incredible snow.
With four interlinked resorts Hanazono, Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village and Annupuri there are more than enough wide open meticulously groomed pistes, powder bowls, tree runs, half-pipes and mogul fields to keep everyone occupied. On top of that, we can organise day-trips to nearby resorts such as Rusutsu, Moiwa and Kiroro as well as arranging backcountry guides, ski touring and cat skiing excursions.
After enjoying Niseko's fantastic snow return to your hotel or chalet for a relaxing soak in the onsen before heading out for ramen, sushi, beer and sake in the evening. Hirafu village has Michelin-rated restaurants, cheap noodle joints, plenty of Western options, authentic Japanese izakayas, funky nightspots and cosy après ski bars. From stylish boutique hotels, to designer apartments and expansive chalets, whether ski in / ski out, or a further drive from the slopes, we have a curated selection of the best accommodation options to suit all requirements.
