Luxury Ski Resorts in the United States
For a spectacular winter pampering, visit the luxury ski resorts scattered along the Rocky Mountains. Experience world-class skiing on much quieter slopes (especially when compared to the crowded European Alps), while enjoying the winter-wonderland scenery, “Wild West” towns, and a fresh mountain spirit.
Oxford Ski Company has been arranging luxury ski holidays to resorts across the United States since our establishment in 1998. Our dedicated and passionate team of luxury holiday specialists live and breathe skiing, and they have explored authentic mountain towns, sunny slopes, and elevated luxury ski resorts to discover the best winter holiday you can be offered anywhere in the country.
This high-altitude state is home to the world-renowned ski resorts, such as Aspen - a favourite among America’s rich and famous. The state is elevated amongst the Rocky mountain range and offers sunny skiing with 300 days of sunshine a year and dry powdery snow. It’s a fantastic choice for skiers and snowboarders of all experience levels. Colorado luxury ski resorts offer something for everyone, be it for leisurely family holidays to expert skiers on the lookout for adventurous terrain. Other notable Coloradan ski resorts where we can arrange luxury ski holidays for you include Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Snowmass, and Vail.
Utah is an increasingly popular skiing holiday destination for well-heeled, discerning holidaymakers. Although you may associate this state with hot summers and dry deserts, Utah is home to towering mountain peaks and thousands of acres of skiable winter terrain. In this ski-cental state, you will find one of the few resorts in the country that are completely dedicated to skiing. Deer Valley, a decidedly affluent and upmarket ski resort, exclusively welcomes skiers with no snowboarding allowed.
Another charming Utah resort is located just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. The buzzing town of Park City is famous for hosting the famous Sundance Film Festival every year, and it is another prominent Utah ski resort offering some of the most beautiful luxury private homes and hotels.
With the majority of the famous Yellowstone National Park lying within its borders, Wyoming certainly boasts more than its fair share of spectacular mountain scenery. Jackson Hole is our top choice of the state’s high-class ski resorts, featuring an authentic wild west town and dramatic snow-topped mountain views. We have handpicked the best chalets and the finest hotels settled in the valley and charming village.

Best time to ski in the United States
The USA ski season usually runs from late November to April. The high altitudes and low temperatures perfectly preserve the heavy snowfall no matter how much sun the slopes receive. The resorts come to life around Christmas and American holidays such as Thanksgiving or Spring Break when the locals go skiing.
The slopes will never get quite as cramped as the ones in Europe. That being said, if you would like a quieter holiday, we recommend you visit in either January or April.
