Luxury Ski Hotels with Michelin Starred Restaurants
For many of our clients, eating well is every bit as important as skiing well. Our collection of luxury ski hotels with Michelin-starred restaurants combines exceptional accommodation with some of the finest dining in the mountains, allowing a day on the pistes to finish with a genuinely memorable dinner without leaving the hotel.
The current collection spans gastronomic destinations including Courchevel 1850, Val d’Isère, Tignes and Méribel, where ambitious chefs and exceptional restaurants have helped make the Alpine dining scene increasingly important in its own right.
Restaurant accolades can change, and a Michelin star alone does not determine whether a hotel is right for you. Our specialists consider the wider dining offering too: whether there are several restaurants, how formal they feel, whether families are well catered for and how the hotel sits within the wider restaurant scene of the resort. That first-hand knowledge helps us find somewhere that satisfies both your appetite for the mountains and your interest in exceptional food.
This is only a small selection of our portfolio.
Fine dining in the mountains
The Alpine restaurant scene now extends far beyond traditional mountain cuisine. Leading ski resorts are home to ambitious chefs, tasting menus and destination restaurants that would command attention in any major city.
Staying in a hotel with exceptional dining makes those experiences particularly effortless. After skiing, there is no need to arrange transport across the resort before dinner, and your room is only a short walk away at the end of the evening.
Why choose a hotel with more than one restaurant?
For a week-long stay, variety matters. Some leading ski hotels combine a Michelin-recognised flagship restaurant with more relaxed dining, regional cuisine, bars and family-friendly options.
Our specialists can explain the complete food and beverage offering so you can judge whether the hotel works for an entire stay rather than a single special dinner.
Courchevel and Alpine gastronomy
Courchevel 1850 is particularly well known for its concentration of acclaimed restaurants, but outstanding dining can also be found in destinations such as Val d'Isère, Tignes and Méribel.
Our team can also help reserve restaurants elsewhere in resort through our pre-arrival concierge service, allowing you to combine excellent hotel dining with the wider culinary scene.
FAQs
Does a Michelin-starred hotel restaurant guarantee me a table?
No. Restaurant reservations are still subject to availability and should often be made in advance, particularly during peak weeks. Our concierge team can assist with planning reservations before travel.
Is the Michelin-starred restaurant included with half board?
Not necessarily. Hotels structure dining packages differently, and specialist or tasting restaurants may carry supplements or operate outside the standard half-board offering. We will explain the arrangements for each property.
Are Michelin-starred restaurants suitable for children?
Some welcome families readily while others provide a more formal experience better suited to adults or older children. Most luxury hotels also provide alternative dining options.
Are Michelin stars permanent?
No. Michelin awards are reviewed and can change. We recommend checking the current Michelin Guide when an individual restaurant's star status is material to your booking.
Planning your holiday around great food?
Tell us how important dining is to the trip. We can consider the hotel's restaurants, the wider resort food scene and the skiing together when creating your shortlist.
