These eight characterful townhouses adhere to a Zen-like architectural style, all-the-while embracing contemporary elegance. You might say that the Kasara Townhouses look like the classic buildings one might have found in old-Edo (Tokyo) or shogun-era Kyoto, with wooden shutters over the windows and a neat, minimalist design. Yet once inside, these three-bedroom residences simply ooze style - according to the designers each townhouse embraces shibumi and its key principles that create “a sense of calm and a touch of richness”. This is realized across over 200 msq of luxuriant space, featuring a modern kitchen, a traditional tatami dining room, a lower floor bedroom, two upper floor bedrooms, bathrooms and a lounge area. Throw in shoji screens, lush fur throws, Apple TVs, under floor heating, sumptuous soaking tubs and you begin to get the picture. Each townhouse has its own lock-up garage, ski lockers, drying room, internal laundry facilities, safe and individual climate control.

Kasara is almost but not quite ski-in, ski-out, situated in the more peaceful Niseko Village area, with tranquil views overlooking fields of untouched snow and whitewashed trees. Your attentive concierge will try to pre-empt your every whim and Kasara guests are welcome to use the open-air onsens and restaurants / bars at either the Green Leaf or Hilton hotels. Both are nearby but worry not, there's also a driver on call to get you there and back if the weather turns ugly.
