Alarm clocks have been set, uniforms have been laid out, packed lunches have been made. September is here, and after a long six months, it’s finally time for children to go back to school. This year has been unlike any other, but with kids returning to classrooms, there’s a glimmer of hope that things are slowly starting to return to some kind of normality.
With schools reopening and terms restarting, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your long-awaited ski trip for this winter. Whether you’re planning to head out to resort early during October half term, or want to wait a bit longer for an unforgettable Christmas/New Year trip, you can be sure to enjoy a fantastic ski holiday.
Our expert team are back in the office and are on hand to guide you through the booking process, from choosing the perfect chalet or hotel, to adding on all the extras which help to make your ski holiday so special. Whether you’re travelling as a family with young kids or as a group of friends, our experienced and friendly team are here to help, with flexible terms and conditions for advanced bookings meaning you can Book With Confidence too.
Whilst children here in the UK start returning to their schools, now also seems like a good time to start thinking about ski schools in resort. If you need them, booking your lessons in advance is the best way to secure availability, which is filling up fast for the peak weeks. Our experienced concierge team here at Oxford Ski are on hand to help with this and can recommend plenty of brilliant ski schools local to whichever resort you choose to visit. Many of our partners in the mountains have been operating on a smaller scale over the summer and are looking forward to returning to full capacity this winter.
Our Head of Concierge, Annie, spoke with Oxygene Ski School this week to ask how they were preparing for the season ahead. Operating across the French Alps, Oxygene pride themselves on being a ‘fresh and friendly one-stop-shop for all of your family’s ski needs’. Their Head of Marketing Heather says: “At Oxygene, preparations for the winter are well underway. We have adapted our terms and conditions to provide for a full refund if COVID affects people's ski lessons. We are providing Oxygene branded masks for our instructors and staff and are ordering plenty of hand sanitiser for our shops and offices. We continue to limit the number of people in our group ski lessons and will be following the protocols set out by the resorts. We hope this will give people the confidence to make the most of their holidays and ski with us this winter.”
So, if you fancy a welcome break from prepping PE kits or helping out with homework, start dreaming about your next ski trip today. Looking for a luxury chalet to call home for the week?
