Do all ski resorts have nursery slopes?
No. Most established resorts offer beginner terrain, but not all have dedicated nursery slopes, and some are only accessible by lift or mountain railway. For families with young children, its proximity to the accommodation and ski school meeting point makes choosing the right chalet, hotel or apartment especially important.
Are ski-in/ski-out chalets always better for families?
Not necessarily. The piste outside the property might not suit everyone in the group. A centrally located chalet with a driver service can be more practical, particularly when children attend different ski schools or childcare facilities, as well as the added benefit of non-skiers able to get into town easier.
When should a family ski holiday be booked?
Family accommodation, interconnecting rooms, childcare and private instructors are particularly limited during school holidays. We recommend beginning the conversation early, especially for Christmas, New Year, Eurppean school holidays and Easter.
