RoteWand
Setting the scene
Set in Zug, just outside the renowned alpine resort of Lech in western Austria, Rote Wand is a distinctive alpine retreat where contemporary design meets authentic mountain character and an exceptional natural setting. Its name, meaning “Red Wall”, is inspired by the striking 2704 metre Rote Wand mountain that rises above the surrounding landscape.
Encircled by dramatic peaks, dense forests and pristine alpine scenery, the property offers a tranquil mountain escape with easy access to the renowned resort of Lech and the wider Arlberg region. Thoughtfully designed interiors combine natural materials, refined details and contemporary comfort, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is equally suited to unwinding after a day in the mountains or spending quality time with family and friends.
A particular highlight is the renowned Chef’s Table, set within a beautifully restored old schoolhouse. Offering an intimate and memorable tasting menu experience in a setting steeped in local character, it adds another distinctive dimension to the Rote Wand experience, bringing together exceptional cuisine, heritage and the unique atmosphere of the surrounding mountains.
Blending spectacular alpine surroundings with considered design, exceptional dining and an authentic sense of place, Rote Wand provides an unforgettable base from which to experience one of Austria’s most beautiful and celebrated mountain regions.
