Overview
Staying at Chalet Carriaz in Méribel feels like having your own private alpine hideaway. The chalet spans around 380 sqm and sleeps up to 14 guests across seven en suite bedrooms, which makes it ideal for families travelling together or a big group of friends.
The layout works brilliantly in practice. The main open plan living area on the ground floor is where you naturally gravitate, with a large dining table at the centre, a fully equipped kitchen and two separate lounge areas. One with a fireplace that makes evenings feel especially cosy and the other having a dedicated TV room, which means everyone can spread out and relax in their own way without ever feeling on top of each other.
One of our favourite features is the outdoor hot tub on the terrace. After a long day skiing, it’s exactly where you want to be, taking in the mountain air while properly unwinding. Practical touches like the ski room and easy storage for equipment also make a real difference day to day.
Location wise, it strikes a great balance. Set at the entrance to Méribel Village, you’re just a short walk (around 350 metres) from the Golf chairlift, as well as local shops, restaurants and a ski hire store. It feels peaceful and slightly removed, but still incredibly convenient.
Chalet Carriaz is best suited to larger groups who want space, flexibility and a relaxed, sociable base with easy access to the slopes without being right in the centre of the hustle.
