Overview
Located in the peaceful car-free alpine village of Chamois is the unique and charming Cocoon Deluxe chalet. This luxurious mountain refuge is situated high above the village and in the winter is only accessible by cable car which is just 200 metres away. The secluded location of the property allows for the ultimate privacy and exclusiveness that one would wish for from their luxury ski holiday. The enormous terrace provides all-encompassing scenic views of across the Valtournenche valley and surrounding mountains. Sit back and relax in the bubbling Jacuzzi with a glass of fizz and appreciate the natural scenery beyond.
Inside the chalet is a spacious open-plan living area which a large central fireplace and a vast glass-fronted wine cellar which is home to around 200 bottles of specially selected wines. The interior design of Cocoon Deluxe is of a contemporary style, yet draws in traditional elements such as the use of local wood and stone. The property has three bedroom suites, each with their own water vapour fireplace. The master suite boasts a double-height ceiling with a mezzanine area with two single futon beds, accommodating an additional two people.
The wellness area offers the ideal relaxing environment to rewind and reset after a long day on the slopes. Guests can enjoy the Finnish sauna and Turkish bath or have a post-ski workout in the small gym area. Finish the day with a massage in the treatment room to soothe those aching limbs.
Access to the slopes couldn't be easier as the chalet is ski-in/ski-out so guests can really make the most of their ski day. Chamois itself has a ski area of 16km of pistes suitable for all abilities. There are also a great selection of off-piste routes and an excellent panoramic cross-country route for those who want to explore a little more of the area. Chamois is also perfectly located for skiing in Breuil-Cervinia where there is access to over 200km of skiable terrain, including the crossing into Zermatt in Switzerland. The Chamois cable car departs from a village called Buisson. From here, Cervinia is just 15 kilometres away; either 20 minutes by road or a swift 7 minute helicopter flight. Alternatively, the Cime Bianche cable car at Valtournanche is just 9 kilometres away and also has access to the Breuil-Cervinia Zermatt ski area.
