When booking travel arrangements with the team here at Oxford Ski Company, many clients may wonder how we’re compensated for our services and how this makes us the same price as going direct to the operator or hotel. It’s a common misconception that clients will have to pay extra for a travel agent's services such as us, but this is simply not necessarily the case.
So how exactly do we pay the bills? Well, put simply, we earn commission on bookings. Essentially, owners, operators and hotels pay travel agents such as ourselves a percentage of the total booking value for any reservations we make as a result of your booking. This commission is built into the price that clients pay for their travel arrangements and is not an additional fee. In other words, the price that clients pay for their travel arrangements is the same whether they book directly or through a travel agent. It really is as simple as that. Meaning any option and price available directly is also available through us. These relationships have been built over our 20 years plus in the industry and as such are built on trust, respect and honesty.
