Overview
Chalet Altesse is a luxury chalet located in the foothills of the Matterhorn, within a 15 minute walk into the car-free town centre of Zermatt. Situated in Winkelmatten, a quiet residential area with stunning views, this ski-in/ski-out chalet comprises four elegant and fully equipped apartments.
Spread over four storeys, each apartment occupies its own floor. The apartments on the first and second floor offer slightly more space than the ground floor and penthouse apartments.
Winkelmatten has several restaurants and a quaint bakery, perfect for picking up some breakfast pastries. There is a playground and a good bus service running just two minutes from the chalet.
Each apartment has been uniquely designed with a modern alpine style. They all have a fully equipped contemporary kitchen and a spacious open-plan living and dining area with a fireplace and dining table. Guests can also enjoy the mountain air from their private terrace or balcony. Families with younger children often enjoy the ground floor apartment, as it is possible to sit on the terrace or within the comfort of the lounge and watch the little ones playing in the garden.
Sleeping up to six guests each, the apartments are perfect for families and groups of friends travelling together. For larger families and groups, a combination of apartments can be booked, or indeed the entire property accommodating 24 people.
Chalet Altesse also offers guests the use of some wellness facilities including a traditional Finnish Sauna and a relaxing Turkish bath; the perfect place to unwind after a busy day on the slopes.
