Perched on the river’s edge with commanding views of the Matterhorn, The Backstage Loft sleeps ten guests across five en suite bedrooms, two of which are in the original historic chalet. Just a short stroll from Zermatt village and the Matterhorn Express, it offers the perfect combination of privacy and convenience.
Step inside at street level, where a few steps lead to the main hallway, and the heart of the home unfolds: a luminous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the mountains, while a wood fire adds warmth and charm. The dining table rises to reveal a space perfect for pre-dinner drinks, canapés, or even a little impromptu dancing. Beside it, the glass-encased hot tub offers serene alpine views by day and starry skies by night, seamlessly opening to the outdoors at the touch of a button.
Bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged to offer both privacy and comfort, including a master suite in the historic chalet, where original beams meet contemporary design, opening directly onto the terrace. Below, a TV room, kitchenette, hammam, sauna, and gym complete this one-of-a-kind retreat.
