I have always enjoyed the excitement of travel and have been an enthusiastic skier since the age of seven. I jump at any chance I get to go skiing with either family or friends. To me, nothing compares to the feeling of gliding down the slopes whilst taking in the fresh mountain air and scenery around you. I am also very partial to a pit stop on the piste. A chance to relax and refuel is an important part of the holiday.

I am a skier.

Favourite resorts: Kitzbuhel and St Anton in Austria as well as La Plagne, France.

Favourite properties: Chalet Silver Fox, St Anton and Chalet Hugo, La Plagne.

Favourite lunch and après: In the resort of St Anton my favourite lunch destination would be Hospiz Alm in St Christoph. The slide saves a lot of effort going up and down the stairs in your ski boots! For après Krazy Kangaroo or MooserWirt.   

My tip: If you are on holiday with a group of skiers of mixed ability, don’t feel like you always need to ski together. Everyone will have more fun skiing in smaller groups at their own pace. Encourage any beginners to get lessons or join ski school.  You can always agree on a spot to meet up at lunchtime and ski together in the afternoon.
