Overview
This duplex penthouse apartment sleeps up to six adults and four children in four bedrooms. Well located, just three minutes walk from the Winkelmatten chapel where you can catch the bus that takes just five minutes to get to the Matterhorn Express gondola station, or an easy 15 minute walk will get you to the hub of Zermatt town centre.
Accessed on the second floor of the building (there is no lift), the open plan kitchen and living area opens up to a sunny, south-facing terrace with a picturesque view of the Matterhorn. The apartment has a contemporary style but with exposed wooden rafters and a wood burning fire it definitely evokes an alpine feel.
One of the bedrooms can be made up as a twin or double to suit your group, two others are accessed by a spiral staircase leading to the top floor, and share a family bathroom, plus there are two further shower rooms. An additional bunk room next to the communal areas is perfect for up to four children. Utilise the communal ski room or leave rented equipment at the free storage facility next to the gondola station at the end of each day. There is also a washer/dryer in the apartment for convenience.
